At the time of writing, it’s finally spring! Gardeners are pouring over seed catalogues and campers are looking forward to meeting old and new friends, trips to familiar places as well as new experiences. Manitoba Explorers will host its Spring Brunch at Smitty’s on Regent Ave. in Winnipeg. We will plan our summer, which generally includes one monthly campout with or without a theme, and always welcomes visitors and new members. This year, our initial campout will again be at Champagne’s RV Park in Lac du Bonnett. This is a full-service, attractive campground with a building in case of rain. The dates for this campout are May 25-27. It’s a meet and greet, friendly potluck. If you are interested, call Wayne at (204) 222-7393.

Please note that for the year of 2018, the Memories chapter will shut down. My wife and I will be travelling on our own and with friends.
We have trips planned for the year and it is our 50th wedding anniversary. There is not enough time to do it all this year. Have a great summer and we will catch up in 2019.
Quinte Wagoneers Chapter

Our first camp for 2018 is being held on May 4-6 at Smuggler’s Cove Campground. This camp is deep in Prince Edward County and the drive there is one of the prettiest around. We have well-known ice cream and cheese factories in the immediate area as well as lots of antique shopping in every small hamlet.
The camp is well suited for group camping and the owners are constantly improving the services. This camp is always well attended by the members, so I know we will have lots of talking and eating while we discuss what we did during the winter. As well, one or two of our members will have new rigs to explore and brag about.
Our next camp will be June 8-10 at Cobourg East Campground which is located between Port Hope and Brighton, ON.
If you are interested in attending these camps or any future ones, please contact me at email@example.com
